Using Shop Assistant

Search across your shop, work with records, start Intake, and use voice or chat from one shop-wide assistant.

Shop Assistant knows your shop.

Unlike Bench Assistant, which is tied to one repair session, Shop Assistant can work across the active shop.

What Shop Assistant can help you find

Shop Assistant can search information such as:

  • Clients
  • Instruments
  • Work orders
  • Repair history
  • Bench Session summaries
  • Parts information
  • Approved Shop Knowledge

This is useful for questions such as:

  • "Show me the last repair we did on this customer's Strat."
  • "Find open work orders for this client."
  • "What do we have in Knowledge about this setup procedure?"

Creating or changing records

Shop Assistant can prepare supported record changes such as creating a client, instrument, or work order and updating certain work-order fields.

A conversational request does not immediately change shop records.

For supported changes, AXB shows a review card. The change happens only after a staff member confirms it on screen.

This keeps the assistant useful without letting a misunderstood command silently alter shop data.

Shop Sessions

Shop Assistant work can be kept in a Shop Session.

A Shop Session can include:

  • Normal Shop Assistant chat
  • Shop Assistant Voice
  • Intake Mode
  • Confirmed action results

A session can remain open while you close the panel and return later.

If several Shop Sessions are open, use the session picker to return to the one you want.

Voice

Shop Assistant also supports realtime Voice.

Voice uses the same shop scope as the text assistant. Proposed record changes still require on-screen confirmation; speaking "yes" does not bypass the review step.

Intake

Choose New Intake from Shop Assistant when you want a guided customer check-in that can prepare a client, instrument, and work order.
