Using the Dashboard
Use the Dashboard to see active repairs and return quickly to work already in progress.

The Dashboard is the main operational view of the shop.
It is designed to help you answer a few quick questions:
- What work is currently open?
- What is already in progress?
- Which instruments have active Bench Sessions?
- Is a technician currently working, or is a session on break?
Open work
The Dashboard summarizes active work orders while completed and cancelled work remain available in history.
Status groupings help separate work that has not started from repairs that are actively moving through the shop.
Open Sessions
An unfinished Bench Session remains visible even if you navigate away from the work order.
Orders with active sessions can show indicators such as:
- Session Open
- On Break
Use these indicators to return to work that is already in progress instead of accidentally starting another session.
On the Bench
The Dashboard can surface instruments that are currently being worked on so the shop has a quick view of active bench work.
Shop Assistant
Open Shop Assistant from the Dashboard when you need to search across the shop, start an Intake, or work with records outside a single repair.
For repair-specific documentation, open the work order and use its Bench Session instead.
