What Customers Can See in the Customer Portal

Understand what the Customer Portal exposes and what remains private to shop staff.

Published October 16, 2026

The Customer Portal gives a customer a read-only view of selected repair information without exposing the normal AXB staff application.

Information that can be shown

Depending on what the shop has made customer-visible, the portal can show information such as:

  • The customer's instrument
  • Repair information
  • Repair status
  • Approved services
  • Customer-visible notes or updates
  • Customer-visible photos and files
  • Repair progress

The repair progress view can present the job through customer-friendly stages such as:

Received → Evaluating → In Progress → Ready

Information that stays private

Internal shop information remains hidden from the portal.

This includes information such as:

  • Internal Notes
  • Private technician notes
  • Bench Assistant conversations
  • Shop Assistant conversations
  • Internal-only files
  • Information that has not been marked for customer visibility

Why the separation matters

Technicians should be able to document a repair thoroughly without worrying that every internal note will automatically appear to the customer.

Customer visibility is controlled separately from the shop's internal repair record.
